Age verification laws (which are draconian, far reaching and do not do what they aim to do) are passing in many states. New legislation about “content harmful to minors” threatens to remove adult content from the inner-tubes all together. Sure its all unconstitutional but as cases worm their way though the courts adult sites are likely to be taken down in the process. And courts are slow and with this ultra conservative Supreme Court anything can happen. If you’ve been paying attention you will see our rights (in all areas of life) slowly being stripped away. As a long time adult audio performer, sex worker and sex worker rights advocate, I’m imploring the ladies in my line of work to get a plan B and get it like yesterday. You don’t want to wake up one morning and find that VISA and MasterCard have decided to not process credit cards for adult sites or that hosting companies are to freaked out to host your escort site. All that can and a lot probably will happen.
