6 marketing tips for escorts

Marketing yourself as an escort is essential. You have to know marketing basics in any business,  especially in the down economy. Knowing your market is important, knowing where you fit into it is equally important if you want to broaden your appeal and expand your business. Here are 6 quick marketing tips and ideas for escorts. Some you may already be doing some maybe you haven’t thought of.

1. Start a mailing list.

If you don’t have one, get one. Make sure its an opt in list and remember not to abuse it. Send out a monthly newsletter, keep people interested in you up on whats going on with you.

2. Get yourself  listed in online industry  directories. Don’t just pick any directory research and list yourself with the right one for your market with a good reputation. Some are free some cost find the best option for you.

3. Monitor your online reputation.

Very important! Google yourself, check the message boards to see if people are talking about you. Join the conversation if they are. Let them get to know the real you and help to steer the conversation in the direction you want it to go or do damage control if need be.

4. Review your website analytics.

How else will you know where your best hits are coming from. See whats workign for you and whats not. How else will you know if that expensive ad you pay for every month is bringing you the kind of traffic you need and if your money is well spent or not.

5. Create a niche specialty, diversify.

Are you a GFE? A porn-star, the girl next door, a SSBBW,  MILF, do you do fetish work or massage work? What niche can you put yourself in and exploit to its fullest potential. Where is there a hole in the market that your new found speciality can plug?

6. Re-vamp your site and pictures

Been using the same site for years? Are you using the same photos you did last year at this time. Give both your site an your photos a make over. Are your photos normally candid? Add some pro shots. Shake things up a little, it will bring you more attention. Spend a little time making sure your site is SEO friendly in the process.

The main thing is to work smarter not harder. Think outside the box,  try some new things and monitor the results. Figure out where your efforts are best spent. Times are tough and the escort world is effected as much as everyone else. If you want to be successful these days you have to work harder and be smarter then the next girl.

An apple a day

It was brought to my attention on Twitter. A friend tweeted to me that super model Cindy Crawford has stolen my idea and provided a link. I rushed to click and low and behold Cindy Crawford was posing in lingerie with apples. I was tickled pink to say the least. I know I’m not the first person to ever come up with the apple metaphor in sexy girlie pictures but its been my running theme for several years now. In fact my latest apple photos i shot just a couple weeks ago. I do them off and on and mix it up with my regular escort pictures. Its fun, its sexy,  it invokes the temptation concept and i often tell people to “take a bite of my juicy red apple” so when i saw these pictures i instantly knew someone on Cindy’s creative team had seen my pictures when they worked up their shoot.

I’m an art director, I’ve worked on national ad campaigns.  I’m a photographer, I’ve shot many dirty girls including myself. I’ve also done my fair share of naughty modeling. I know how this stuff works. I’m sure my apple photos are sitting on a white inspiration board in an art directors office or photographer’s studio somewhere. I’m pretty certain Cindy Crawford is clueless that the inspiration for her latest and rather hot shoot is a Escort/photographer who blogs and takes self portraits but i really wanna tell her. I really wanna call her publicist and ask for a quote, i really, really wanna. I cant help it its the mischief maker in me.

Apples Apples everywhere

Am i flattered? Yes i am but I’m also not surprised. I’m a conceptual thinker, i come up with good ideas, good concept. I used to make a 6 figure salary on my ability to do that. I also know i don’t own “sexy lingerie apple concept” though it is my branding in the escort world and when other escorts pose with apples it just makes them look lazy and unoriginal. When the world biggest supermodel does it ? Well, it just solidifies what i already knew…. I know what I’m doing!

Justice denied

They’re calling it justice denied and i suppose it is. The man who killed Julissa Brisman killed himself in prison. Stabbed himself in the neck and the leg hitting arteries and covered his head with a plastic bag wrote his girlfriends name in blood and the word “pocket” then died.

For many its over. For the families I’m sure it never ill be. Julissa’s loved ones will never get their day in court but they also wont have to be haunted by the possibility of their childs killer walking free. They wont have to be haunted by her life as a sex worker being used to justify her death in a court of law.

That’s right Julissa was a sex worker. That element is often left out of the story when its being reported.The mainstream media almost never mention that she was working that night when she was killed, that she was targeted because she was a sex worker, her killer thought her easy pray and marginalized, assumed shed have cash on her. What the media also isn’t reporting is that before Julissa’s death it was well known among escorts that network safety info, that a young man in the Boston area was robbing sex workers at gun point and stealing their panties for trophies. That additional victims of this crime were afraid to go to the police and report being robbed at gun point because they were sex workers and feared repercussions. Could Julissa’s life been saved if it was safe for sex workers to come forward when they are victims of crimes? I believe it could have been saved.  That’s not the world we live in right now, though many are fighting to change that. Some in great big giant ways others like me  in small tiny ways.  I dont know if i will ever see that change but i hope i will.

I would have liked to see a tick on the scoreboard “its not okay to kill sex workers” i would like to have seen her murderer pay for the crime of killing a sex worker with a life behind bars but i will have to settle with his death. I cant say I’m not okay with him being dead. I am. I’m almost happy about it. If that makes me a bad person, so be it.

I did not know Julissa. She was just another girl trying to make a living, living a secret life because being a sex worker isn’t something you talk about in public. What i do know is that people loved her and their lives will never be the same because she is gone. That is truly sad to me and it scares me.  What happened to Julissa can happen to any one of us. Which I’m sure is why the death of a girl i didn’t know affected me they way it did. I could see myself, my friends and the people i care about in her shoes, laying dead in the hallway of a hotel in a strange city while the entitled prick  who though her inhuman and worthless walked away and checked his cell phone.

…that is the sad truth

Hey i follow the rules. Yeah, i have a secret YouTube channel where i drive traffic to my clip store. I’m sure if you tried hard enough it would be pretty easy to find. I try to follow the YouTube rules and i think i do a really good job of it. I don’t ape music i use creative commons stuff, i keep it “clean” ie no boobs and its well known how i love to show off the boobs. The other day a new promo clip i made was “removed” from YouTube because it contained “inappropriate content” umm huh? hello… wtf.. and all that jazz.

I scoured the community guidelines looking for my blatant violation, did i accidentally forget to put my tits away or something? i couldn’t find what i did that was so inappropriate. My account wasn’t “warned” so i have no recourse to complain and of course there’s no “support or admin you can write to, in the hopes of finding out why my simple 30 seconds of boots ( not boobs) was too hot for YouTube. so i put it up on Vimeo because i heard they were more artistically friendly ( well fetish friendly) i hardly think my clip are “art”. They are fun, they are fun to make, thy are sometimes sexy and sometimes funny but art? well then again have you seen those water color clown paintings you can by at the mall? Maybe my clips are art.. yanno if you put them on that scale to be weighed.
